Presidential Debate Operations Center at Washington University Campus:

The October 8, 2004 Presidential Debate was broadcast to millions of households around the world. Yet, behind the scenes and away from public view police and fire officials maintained a careful watch over the debate hall, ensuring that the site was safe and secure from any potential harm.

The Debate Operations Center was the nerve center for all law enforcement, emergency medical and fire operations during the Presidential Debate.  The Center was housed in a large lecture room on the Washington University campus and was designed to allow selected police and fire commanders to function under the Incident Command System (ICS) and work together as Unified Command.
