The Advisory Council was created by STARRS to implement plans for increasing the region’s security in the event of a large critical incident whether caused by an intentional act, like terrorism, or a natural disaster. This Council is forming committees and is seeking talented individuals who want to take part in a new multi-disciplinary, regional approach to security planning and preparedness. Most of the committees will be populated with a variety of disciplines including, but not limited to, law enforcement, fire service, EMS, public health, hospitals, transportation, utilities, government and the private sector. You need not restrict your committee choice to your field of employment. For example, if you have an interest in public information but you happen to work in the health care field, feel free to apply for the public information committee. We will need transportation experts on communications and health committees.
If you are interested in serving on a STARRS volunteer working committee, please download our application, fill it out, sign and return it to STARRS at the address above at your earliest convenience. Upon approval of your application you will join an extremely important group carrying out the analysis, planning, and implementation of enhancements to security in the St. Louis region.
All of these committees play a vital role in the planning for our region’s safety. We appreciate your interest in this committee work and we will be back in touch with you as soon as possible after your application is reviewed.
If you have any further questions, please contact STARRS at 314-244-9602 or by email at starrs@ewgateway.org.
